MB Associates is honoured to be the official kit sponsor of The Big Ride, a charity cycling challenge dedicated to raising vital funds for Versus Arthritis and The UK Sepsis Trust in memory of the late Anne Channevy Walsh.
Anne’s husband, Ben Walsh, and her brother-in-law, Cormac, will undertake an extraordinary 1600km cycling challenge from Land’s End to John O’Groats. Spanning nine days in June, this epic ride celebrates Anne’s memory while supporting those living with arthritis and raising awareness of sepsis.
MB Associates is proud to be the official kit sponsor for this worthwhile charity challenge. The sponsorship reflects the company’s commitment to supporting clients, friends, and causes that make a difference.
Anne tragically passed away suddenly last year at the age of 48 after contracting sepsis. Anne’s husband Ben has been a long-term client of MB Associates’ Founder and Managing Director, Monica Bradley.
‘We’re deeply moved by Ben and Cormac’s dedication to raising awareness and funds for these two worthwhile charities in Anne’s memory,’ says Monica. ‘It’s a privilege to support them as they take on this remarkable challenge.’
Ben and Cormac invite fellow cyclists and supporters to join them for portions of the ride to celebrate Anne’s legacy and continue raising funds for this critical cause. Updates and further details about how to donate and get involved will be shared closer to the event date.
Ben says: ‘This challenge has given me a purpose. Anne suffered from arthritis, and she gave up some of her free time to help Versus Arthritis and raise awareness. This challenge will keep her memory alive, and I know she would have been proud of what we’re doing and how we’re doing it. We’re trying to involve a lot of people and make it a purposeful, achievable, worthwhile challenge that gets everybody reminiscing about Anne’s life in a positive way.’
Ben adds: ‘We’re also supporting The UK Sepsis Trust, as it’s sadly becoming very apparent about the number of people that have passed away due to sepsis. Some have been misdiagnosed as the signs aren’t always identified soon enough. We want to raise awareness about sepsis to stop it from claiming other lives in future.’
